The "right" age to spay a dog has actually shifted a bit in recent years, and for a Bernedoodle specifically, there are a few things worth knowing.

At 8 months old, Femke may already have had, or be approaching, her first heat cycle. That's completely normal and doesn't mean you've missed a window — it just becomes one more factor to discuss with your vet.
